Beverly Hills, on saturday, July 11  Martin Lawrence married to his girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs. The wedding took place on Saturday, at the residence of Martin Lawrence in Beverly Hills. in front of 120 family and friends, including their daughters and fellow actors Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington, People magazine says. The couple has been dating since a long time.

The 45-year-old actor Martin Lawrence and his 35-year-old girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs tied the knot in the backyard of the actor’s abode. The weddings was a small and private affair. The flowers girls at the wedding were Lyana, Ameria and Martin’s daughter from a previous relationship – 14-year-old Jasmine.

The reception after the wedding was held in a tent. At the reception the event designer was the acclaimed Diann Valentine.

Martin Fitzgerald Lawrence was born on the 16th of April 1965. He is a multi talented person who is an actor, a comedian and even a director to boot. He earned a name for himself in the 1990’s when he entered the Hollywood film industry. He even had a self-named television series, which was telecast from 1992 to 1997.

He has been married in the past to Patricia Southall, with whom he also has one child.

Country singer and former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood and NHL player Mike Fisher got married on Saturday as well, as did actress Emily Blunt and actor John Krasinski of the NBC comedy series The Office.
